Renewable energy in the state of New YorkNew York is a state in the northeastern part of the USA at the coast of the Atlantic ocean with the capital in the city of Albany. The five most populous cities in the state are the New York City, Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers, and Syracuse.

According to the state’s legislature, including the 2015 New York State Energy Plant (see below), energy from renewable resources must total about 50% of New York’s energy mix by 2030.
