RusHydro, Mitsui discuss wind power, geotermal cooperation

Apr 13, 2017 – Russian power generating company RusHydro and Japanese Mitsui & Co have discussed their strategic partnership and cooperation plans, RusHydro said in a statement.

“As part of further development of wind power projects in the Far East of Russia, Mitsui’s experts have prepared pre-technical and economic assessment of wind parks in the settlements of Tiksi, Tilichiki, Palana and on the Popov island,” the statement read.

Mitsui in cooperation with Japanese J-Power has also proposed a plan to expand the Mutnovskaya geothermal plant.

The Japanese company is ready to finance the projects partially using own funds and money of the country’s state agencies.
