Poland’s renewables market outlook
As of 2019, Poland said it needed 700-900 bln euros (USD760-980 bln) of investment to reach a net zero emissions economy.
Solar energy in Poland
In September 2019, a unit of Polish private equity fund NeoInvestments and Chinese power producer China Sinology Electric Engineering announced plans to build Poland’s largest 600 MW photovoltaic solar power plant by 2021. Earlier that month, Polish state-owned copper producer KGHM and PGE energy group announced that they will jointly work on new solar projects that can reach 500 MW by 2023.
