Jan 17, 2017 – Italy’s biggest energy company Enel considers Russian market as having a great potential, CEO of Enel Francesco Starace said in an interview to Bloomberg agency on Tuesday.
The company operates four hydro energetic plants with a total installed capacity of 9,500 megawatt in different regions of Russia.
Last year Enel negotiated a sell-off of one of its facilities, but then received an offer to acquire all of them.
“We wanted to sell only one plant, but received an offer to buy all of them. We are not sure what to do,” the manager said. “I think it would be a mistake to leave Russia. This country has a great potential”.
