German Linde acquires 10% of Swiss hydrogen producer

Aug 29, 2019 – German chemical giant Linde has acquired a 10% stake in Hydrospider, a Swiss manufacturer of hydrogen fuel, Reuters news agency reported.

“The participation offers Linde the opportunity to actively shape one of the most attractive endeavors for green hydrogen and emission-free mobility in Europe,” Jens Waldeck, head of central Europe at Linde’s Gases division, said

Hydrogen, which will be produced by Hydrospider at its currently constructed facility, will be used for the first 50 of the 1,600 trucks made by a joint venture between Hyundai and H2 Energy, which will be supplied to Swiss roads until 2025.
